J. Clarke Transport (Lichfield) Ltd started out, as the name suggests, in transport and even though we have evolved over the last 50 years into a Contract Hire and Vehicle Rental company, under the name JCT Truck and Trailer, those early days of transport have always helped keep our focus on what is important to today’s logistics and distribution companies.
Since those early days of buying and hiring out second hand trailers, we have grown beyond all recognition and now manage a modern fleet of over 700 vehicles but we are still a privately-owned family company with three generations of the Rowe family still involved on a daily basis. Our main directors are all ex mechanics, so have a thorough understanding of vehicles and how, regular specialised maintenance is the key to keeping vehicles where they should be, on the road.
